Christian Brothers Daytona Beach 6th Annual Spring Fling & ProAm Surf Contest- April 5th and 6th
The Christian Bros event is now a ProAm Surf Contest that counts toward the Costa Crown Series. The Costa Crown Series winners receive a free trip to Costa Rica to compete in one of the biggest Pro events in Costa Rica. The Annual Spring Fling and Surf Contest is the biggest surf event in the Daytona Beach area. We expect over a hundred competitors and hundreds of spectators.
This two-day event will feature a surf contest, good food, surf lessons, paddle contest, other games and giveaways, counseling for youth, and a message on Sunday morning. The contest divisions are girls, women, female longboard, open funshape, boys, juniors, mens, masters, juniors longboard, mens longboard, and Costa Crown divisions. The contest will be held April 5th -6th at the Birth Place of Speed Park at the Granada approach in Ormond Beach.
CIE Springride- May 3rd-4th
CIRE has teamed up with our good friends from CIE to bring you the CIE Springride. Located at Lake Tulloch Resort in NorCal, this event is a sick way to kick off the summer and is organized by the coolest guys in wakeboarding, the CIE crew. For more info check out www.CIEwakeboarding.com
Midwest Militia
We’re back!!!! CIRE is supporting the crew that makes wakeboarding in the midwest what it is today. The MWM has another calendar full of events that will keep you stoked all summer long. May Days 2007 will start the season and be followed up by Boot Camp and Fall Fallout. In between, you can ride every Wednesday night during the Midweek Wakeup Series at The Broken Oar. CIRE will be back again on the Pro Wakeboard Tour. After being an Official Sponsor of the PWT in 2007, CIRE is once again an Official Sponsor of the Pro Wakeboard Tour in 2008. Look for the CIRE booth, banners, and the CIRE girls at Stop #1 in Acworth, GA, Stop #2 in Fort Worth, TX, and Stop #5 in Reno, NV.

The most sought after amateur wakeboard events in all of California is back again for 2007. Arizona Wakeboard Association
Continuing to spread our nationwide presence, CIRE is sponsoring the Arizona Wakeboard Association. The AWA is one of the largest and oldest grassroots wakeboarding organizations in the United States. Here is the schedule for the 2008 events in the “Valley of the Sun”. Bring your sunscreen.

Events in 2007
CIRE Signs International Distribution Deal CIRE, based in Manhattan Beach, CA, has signed an international distribution agreement with Lekka Ltd. United Kingdom based, Lekka, is currently distributing the CIRE Summer '07 line of boardshorts and apparel to numerous shops throughout Europe, including the United Kingdom and Belgium. Lekka has been signed as the official distribution partner for CIRE products in Europe.
NorCal INT League Wakesurfing Series
CIRE is proud to be a sponsor of the NorCal INT League Wakesurfing Series taking place at various venues in Northern California. The 3 stop series will take place at Lake Villa Lagos, Modesto Reservoir, Discovery Bay throughout the summer. For more information, check out www.wakesurfseries.com.
For those unfamiliar with wakesurfing, here it is defined: Wake surfing is using a surfboard or similar type board to surf the waves behind a boat. A balasted wakeboat works best. Boat speed is slow and ranges from 9-14 mph.
The rider uses a tow rope to pull themselves out of the water. Once the rider has their balance they release the rope and surf the waves (wake).
Shreducation at Gravity Research Compound CIRE is sponsoring the team from Valdosta State University at Shreducation:
A lesson in rail riding. The event takes place April 14th and 15th at the Gravity Research Compound in Georgia. The GRC is currently the only rail park to have a transfer box similar to the one used on the Pro Tour. Shreducation puts the best collegiate wakeboard teams together in a head to head competition in an all-rail event. Our boys from Valdosta took 2nd Overall!!!!

Midwest Militia
Once again, CIRE is supporting the posse that makes up the Midwest Militia and rules the midwest wakeboard scene. The MWM is putting together another summer full of events. Contestants that win certain divisions will get an all expense paid trip to Costa Rica to compete in the Christian Surfers Jaco Surf Contest. This two-day event will feature a surf contest, good food, surf lessons, paddle contest, other games and giveaways, counseling for youth, and a message on Sunday morning. The contest divisions are girls, women, female longboard, open funshape, boys, juniors, mens, masters, juniors longboard, mens longboard, and Costa Crown divisions. The contest will be held March 10-11 at Frank Rendon Park.

Pro Wakeboard Tour
CIRE has stepped up their sponsorship of the Pro Wakeboard Tour. After being a local sponsor of numerous PWT events over the last 3 years, CIRE is now an Official Sponsor of the Pro Wakeboard Tour. Look for the CIRE booth, banners, and the CIRE girls at Stop #1 in Acworth, GA, Stop #2 in Fort Worth, TX, and Stop #5 in Portland, OR.

WWA World Championships
The WWA World's sets out to crown the best Amateur and Pro Wakeboarders in the world. This event, held in Reno, NV for the first time, will attempt to seperate the late night casino binges and the crowning of numerous World Champions.
CIRE joins Surfrider Foundation Hangtag Program
CIRE is continuing to pursue the companies’ goals and mission statement by taking part in the Surfrider Foundation’s Hang Tag Program again in '07. The hangtag program allows CIRE to make a donation to help the Surfrider Foundation continue their fight to protect our world’s oceans, waves and beaches. In return, each item that is part of the CIRE Spring '07 line will be tagged with attractive, two-color tags that are printed on 100% post-consumer recyclable waste with soy based inks. A portion of each customers purchase will be donated to the Surfrider Foundation. In the end, the customers and CIRE are stoked to help the Surfrider Foundation continue their conquest to protect our oceans.

South Bay Surf Series
CIRE has teamed up again with ET Surf in Hermosa Beach to bring you the first event of the 2006 South Bay Surf Series on March 12th at 16th Street in Hermosa Beach. Once again throwing the best and biggest competitive surf event in all of the South Bay, this event is open to men and women of all ages and features divisions in shortboard, longboard, and bodyboard.
CityStreets Skatepark
CIRE and Underground Surf Company in Deerfield Beach, FL are sponsoring the opening of CityStreets Skatepark in Coconut Creek, FL. The skate contest is scheduled for March 18th and is open to all levels.

Collegiate Slider Slam ’06
The Gravity Research Compound will host the second annual Collegiate Slider Slam. Featuring the top college wakeboard clubs and their riders, the Collegiate Slider Slam will take place on April 8th in Georgia.
Wakeboard Movie To The Hinge
CIRE has teamed up with 313 Productions to bring you To The Hinge, a wakeboarding movie. Residing as our neighbors to the North, British Columbia based, 313 Productions, rounded up the best riders on Vancouver Island to produce this video. CIRE’s own team rider, Matt Tyson, is featured in the movie. There are numerous premieres schedule for this DVD with the kickoff being April 1st. Finally someone is bring some organization to the madness of California's best waterway, the DELTA. The Delta Riders Association is holding the Delta's premiere wakeboard event starting this summer. Pro Wakeboard Tour
Once again CIRE will be invading numerous events of the Pro Wakeboard Tour.
We will get things started at the first PWT event of 2006 in Acworth, GA May 4th-7th. We will then make our way to the fourth event in Portland, OR July 15th-16th. We will end up in Reno, NV for the final stop of the 2006 Pro Wakeboard Tour Season on July 28th-30th. The pro men and women will both be competing at the final stop to determine the overall series winner. Stop by the CIRE booth and check out our ’06 line, pick up some stickers and tattoos, or just stare from a distance at the lovely ladies flocking our booth.
The Wake Games bring a new format to the PWT that will invite the top eight male riders from last year's rider poll to draft their own team to compete during the event. Each team will have a captain, another pro, one wakeskater, one amateur rider, and one female rider. The event will take place at Lake Elsinore, CA June 22-25 and will also encompass an individual competition with over 15 divisions. Castaic Lake Wake Fest

6th Annual Midwest Militia Boot Camp Wake Festival- August 12-13
If you wakeboard, you need to be at Boot Camp. This is the Midwest’s largest and most anticipated grassroots wakeboarding event. Camp, party, compete in our tournament on Saturday and free-ride all weekend long. You won’t want to miss out on our ever-popular raffle, which gets bigger each year. You definitely wont have a problem getting a pull and meeting new people at Boot Camp!
Fall Fallout- September 30- Oct 1
Nobody wants summer to end, but at least we end it in style with our last event of the year; Fall Fallout. Double up competition for Cash and Prizes, free-riding and camping all weekend. Look for another huge bonfire, cookout and live entertainment at this end of summer BASH! |
